Maggie Grace is an American actress who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character from ABC's Lost series, and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Her parents had divorced and she moved with her mom to Los Angeles. Although she was struggling financially and in the beginning, she made her acting debut as Rachel's Room's primary character. She went on to earn an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002, for her role as 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder which aired in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford's role she played in Lost between 2004 and 2005, was selected for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace quit the show in the year 2005, to take on a more significant role in movies, and had a role opposite Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. She starred as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken 2008) on Suburban Girl and the Jane Austen Book Club. She reprised the role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the lead role Alice In Malice in Wonderland a modern take on Lewis Carroll's novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised her role as Shannon in Lost and the final episode. The actress was featured in 2013's seventh season Californication. She portrays Faith who is both a star-gazer and groupie. She's a Gyllenhaal. daughters of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), as well as younger in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager her career began as a small part-time actress for her father. She was also in Donnie Darko alongside her brother. Then she appeared on the screen in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Following that she was a part of comedies and dramatic films: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012. Other characters include as a secret agent for The Secret Service in White House Down 2013 as well as a vocalist in Frank 2014, and as a singer in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, where she is the lead role. Gyllenhaal composed and directed her first feature film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The thriller that dealt with psychological issues was awarded the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. It was also nominated to The Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
